Terms and Conditions
1. Using this website
By accessing or purchasing from julietlarkin.nz, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the site.
We may update these terms at any time. The version posted at purchase time applies to that order.
2. Products & handmade character
All ceramics are handmade. Natural variations in size, shape, glaze tone, speckling, and finish are expected and celebrated. Photos are indicative only; colour may differ by screen.
Care & safety: Stoneware pieces are generally dishwasher and microwave safe unless noted. Hand-wash recommended to prolong life. Avoid thermal shock (e.g. freezer-to-oven, or adding boiling water to a cold vessel). Not for stovetop, direct flame, or broiler use.
3. Pricing, GST & payment
All prices are in NZD and include GST where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time before you place an order.
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Your order is confirmed when we email an order confirmation.
4. Shipping, delivery & risk
- Timeframes: NZ deliveries typically 3–5 working days; international 7–14+ working days. Rural and peak periods can take longer.
- Costs: Calculated at checkout. International customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, and import fees.
- Risk & title: Title passes on full payment; risk passes on delivery to the address supplied.
- Click & collect: If offered, we’ll email pick-up details when your order is ready.
5. Damages, faults & returns
If an item arrives damaged, email us within 48 hours with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and item. We’ll sort a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
For faults appearing with normal use, contact us promptly. We’ll work with you on a remedy consistent with your rights under NZ consumer law.
Change of mind: Because items are handmade in small batches, we don’t generally offer returns for change of mind, but contact us—at our discretion we may help if the item is returned unused and in original packaging.
6. Gift vouchers
- Digital vouchers are delivered by email and can be redeemed online for eligible products.
- Valid for 24 months from purchase unless otherwise stated on the voucher.
- Non-refundable and not redeemable for cash, except as required by law. Treat like cash; lost or stolen vouchers can’t be replaced.
7. Pre-orders & lead times
For pre-orders or made-to-order pieces, the estimated timeframe will be shown on the product page or in your confirmation email. Estimates are guides—kiln schedules and studio capacity can affect timing. We’ll keep you updated on any material changes.
8. Promotions
Promotions are for a limited time, can’t be used with other offers unless stated, and don’t apply to past orders. We may end or vary a promotion at any time.
9. Your consumer rights (NZ)
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 for New Zealand consumers. If you’re purchasing for personal, domestic or household use, you enjoy the statutory guarantees under those Acts.
10. Privacy & cookies
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy (which explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your access/correction rights). We use essential and analytics cookies to operate and improve the site; you can manage cookies via your browser settings.

All content on this site (images, text, logos) is our intellectual property or used with permission. You may not copy, modify, or use it without prior written consent. You may link to our pages fairly and lawfully.
12. Reviews & user content
If you post reviews or share content with us, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that content for marketing and display on our site and social channels. Please post only content you have rights to and that’s respectful and lawful.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and except for your non-excludable rights under the CGA and FTA, we exclude all warranties and limit our liability to the price paid for the relevant goods. We’re not liable for loss of profits, data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
14. Electronic communications
You agree we may communicate electronically (order confirmations, notices, invoices). Electronic communications are deemed received when they enter your information system (e.g. inbox), consistent with NZ law on electronic transactions.
15. Force majeure
We’re not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. natural events, carrier issues, supply constraints, power outages). We’ll resume as soon as reasonably practicable.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. The New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
